I Guess i should say I help more than just dog !!!

Well last night I get the phone call from a good friend his neighbor just had a baby squirrel run up to him.I am than told they noticed that there were 2 dead squirrels full grown just in front of his house.So than he tells me this one has a bloody nose.I knew that he either fell out of the tree or he was looking for his mommy.So I asked my buddy what the condition of the baby squirrel was.First he said that it just kept coming over to them looking for attention.I  than asked him if it was real young and if it was covered in fur yet? He answer's that in his opinion it was young and cold very friendly easy to handle and seemed to very thin and in need of help.

 So it begins I wait for him to bring this sweet little boy now known as BENNY named for the neighbor that found him.I get this call because I have successfully raised a baby squirrel before.That was released back to the wild if thats what you want to call it.she lived in my garage and came and went as she pleased.and up to the day she died I could hold her anytime I wanted with out ever fearing her biting me.But POCKETS is and was a whole other story.

 So I get Benny and first I need to get him warm .Second I need him to drink some water through a feeding sirring with plastic tip .I use Luke warm water with just a touch of honey to help get his glucose level up.This will help him get his appetite back.Well after about 21/2 ml's of water and honey I finally got him to start eating .His first feeding he eat just over 3 ml's and about 1/12 later he eat another 4 ml's.Hes off to a good start.I will try to keep my blog posted with updates.Thanks for reading.
