Well I woke up at 6:30 am to feed the bird which he was ready to eat .After giving him several mealies i did as I have done the las 2 days.i than took him out side so his mother could continue his care as she was doing.My goal was to keep him safe a night while trying to return him to the wild Aka my front lawn.Well after placing him out side i saw his mommy land on the wire with food in mouth.So off i went to continue my day.You know get a shower shave and some fresh clothes.well with in about 2 hrs my son come in and say that the puppy has the baby bird.Not good as the puppy has no understanding of what rough is.So I pick him only to find that hes hurt very badly,and probably not going to live. I dressed his wounds added some antibiotic ointment than the wait and see time was upon us.now here it is 7;30 and the robin has passed.This saddens me greatly.
Now if your reading this you want to know how the puppy got the baby bird? Well this baby hopped his way around to the side of the house and under my gate.This was not a good move,and he paid with his life.
Rest in peace robin you made me smile and i felt good knowing that i was there to give you a fighting chance.Your in gods hands now.
