Time to let one go

The time has come to hand over another foster. As anyone who does fostering knows that this is always the hardest part of fostering. This become even harder when you foster a dog that just has the ability to learn and a gentle loving nature with a great sense play.As i watch this sweet little 5 week old pitty mix that with his brother were given to Wet Nose Rescue, and brought right to my house where my wife and sons along with all 7 of my dogs.I would have to say that with my crew its always fun to watch how new dogs interact with my dogs. This is the first time dogs were brought in to my house with out me and i was very happy to that it went like it has many times before.
Stanley and Ollie Brothers condemned to death at 5 weeks old.Stanley black brindle with chestnut highlights, and Ollie black with a white strip and white sock's on his feet. Now as with all puppy litters theres alpha and not so alpha.Well with these two Stanley was bigger and stronger with just a bit more spunk. Now this worked very well for Ollie as he found a home with in about 2 weeks.I was happy as i know the family that adopted him and i get daily reports on him.Now Stanley on the other hand i was now able to start a very important part of what like to do with puppies. With my best friend and buddy Kramer at my side I start to take Stanley With me.I find that with puppies the more time they get seeing the world the better they are to deal with thing as it changes. My Buddie and best friend at a ripe old age of 14 hes bin everywhere from camping to Fort Knox Army base. Now with Kramer as a good calm role model I find the results i get from my fosters has been very positive. In many ways. Some I just see some will be seen later.I always feel as though each dog takes apart of me with them.I know this as several of the dogs have been adopted out locally, and I see them from time to time. The owners alway remark how much better their dog responds to me and I only get to see them once or twice a month.
Now here it is, and Stanley is just about 11 weeks old and on his last day with us i have finally got the Stan the mans light bulb finally light up.Today as with everyday I do dog training .As with any puppy I have to go through a bunch of basic pack leader lessons some taught by me others by the pack.As Stanley did take a little longer to pick some of these.I felt that his last hurdle before I send him to his new and hopefully his forever home.So as with most days I go Threw his lessons trying to get Stan to work out what he needs to do.Today was great as with a little help from the pack he got it.Paw when asked and lay down when asked.hurray for Stanley. Now he got sit right away so don,t think that was over looked. Now at 7:30 tonight when i meat with his new family I can show them what he knows and how To get him to do as asked .With this info they will have a good start to having a family member not just a pet.
